ECC Philosophy

Leeron Dvir - ECC DirectorOur program is based on the needs and interests of the developing child at ages 2-5.

Our curriculum is designed to promote self-expression, self awareness, creativity, sharing and cooperation, problem solving, social and cultural awareness.

Our teachers are well versed in creating a curriculum that develops children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills. Exposure to music, movement, art, and Jewish Holidays stimulate exploration and creativity in our students.

The goal is to provide a strong foundation for future growth, learning, and happiness. We believe in an "open door" policy where the parents of the ECC are always welcome.

Leeron Dvir, the new director of the Burbank Temple Emanu El ECC, brings a background of over 10 years of child development and preschool teacher/director skills to share with the preschool.  She has studied Early Childhood Education and Public Relations, at Pierce College, CSU Northridge, and UCLA Extension.  Following a successful career in temple preschools, Leeron worked in the Publicity and Marketing industry and eventually owned a stroller fitness franchise. Her passion and love for early childhood education has her returning to the ECC venue as BTEE’s director.

"Leeron Dvir has the experience, communication skills and warm personal qualities that students, parents and co-workers love.  We are so pleased with the enthusiasm and energy she brings to the Burbank Temple Emanu El community"
Stacy Schnaid, Education Vice President, on behalf of the Board of Directors

Creating an inviting and comforting environment for the ECC families is one of Leeron’s strengths as a director.  Leeron engages her students in activities designed to promote self-expression, self awareness, creativity, sharing and cooperation, problem solving, and social and cultural awareness.

“I am delighted to be joining the warm families and staff at Burbank Temple Emanu El and look forward to growing together. Your children deserve nothing but the best care, guidance, and education and I am confident that is what they will receive here.”
